It was a total Eclipse from the start.The blockbuster third installment of The Twilight Saga opened to a staggering $30 million on its first night/morning in North America.It surpasses the previous midnight record holder, which was New Moon at $26.3 million.The last film in the series, New Moon, earned $72.7 million on November 20, 2009 to set the all-time opening day record.
